The Leadership Academy of West Central Indiana is a driving force in talent development and business sustainability across our region. We are dedicated to identifying and cultivating the area’s most promising emerging leaders — those who will shape the future of our communities and industries. Through intentional investment in leadership training and retention, we’re building a more resilient, innovative and connected workforce. Our mission is simple: to prepare today’s talent for tomorrow’s challenges.
Led by the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and the West Central Indiana Partnership, this program aims to serve emerging leaders across West Central Indiana by offering a robust curriculum focused on these learning pillars:
Leadership: develop the mindset and skills to inspire, influence and guide others with confidence and integrity.
Communication: strengthen your ability to clearly convey ideas, actively listen and build meaningful connections.
Productive Conflict: learn how to address challenges and differing perspectives in a way that fosters growth, innovation and stronger relationships.
Effective Teamwork: gain strategies for building trust, aligning around shared goals and contributing to high-performing, collaborative teams.
Critical and Strategic Thinking: sharpen your ability to analyze complex problems, anticipate future needs and make thoughtful, forward-focused decisions.
Program Format
The Leadership Academy of West Central Indiana is designed with the working professional in mind. This program provides a dynamic, hands-on learning experience that blends theory with real-world application. Participants benefit from a robust and engaging structure that supports long-term leadership growth.
Monthly Sessions (September - May). Engage in regular, thoughtfully programmed sessions that fit the schedule of busy professionals.
Diverse Learning Formats. Experience a blend of case studies, site visits, interactive workshops, seminars and immersive leadership training that brings learning to life.
High-Impact Networking. Build meaningful connections with fellow emerging leaders, local and state elected officials, and influential business and community figures across the region.
Academic Credit Opportunity. Earn graduate-level credit hours towards a Master of Leadership Development degree through our education partnership with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
